What is Love to the World?
Love To The World is the union of two great initiatives: The Let Love Lead Project, founded by Anasuya Isaacs, uses the arts to heal, uplift and empower people living with and impacted by HIV/AIDS, and Umeebee, founded by Frerieke van Bree, brings donors to the people who need them in a fun and personal way. Together we are expanding the number of change makers in the world by making it easy and fun for more people to become micro-philanthropists.
By creating innovative ways to get people in action, Love To The World is an answer to the refrain, “I want to do something. I want to make a difference. I just don’t know how!” We connect the people who are ready to do more with the people ready to know their lives matter and have you contribute to them.
Mission
“Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation.” - Nelson Mandela
Love To The World’s mission is to honor and celebrate everyday people living with and impacted by the HIV/AIDS by bringing their stories to the world. By sharing the lives of people who have developed innovative ways to live, help, heal, inspire and empower others; people who are reaching out for food, education, training, housing, books, friendship; people who are offering hope, love, talents and resources; people who have something to leave behind to remind the world that they were here, we are revealing the connection between each and every one of us, granting us an experience of being one.
Vision
Love To The World’s vision is a world where people reach out to one another, support one another, invest in one another, and celebrate one another by doing whatever they do best. This way everybody has the experience that their life matters.
“The more we lack the courage and the will to act, the more we condemn to death our brothers and sisters, our children and our grandchildren. When the history of our times is written, will we be remembered as the generation that turned our backs in a moment of a global crisis or will it be recorded that we did the right thing?“ — Nelson Mandela
