This is so exciting! Students from underprivileged communities in South Africa become online reporters about issues that matter to them and their communities.
A lot of those students have never worked online before, they have never had their own email address, don’t know what to do with Wikipedia and have no idea what a ‘blog’ is.
The main goal with the Students for humanity project is to have the unheard voices of the world to be heard! Secondly we want to create a space of cultural interchange. A place of learning, understanding and respect! We are inviting students from different places in the world to join and connect with the students in Africa. Our goal is to work with students from underprivileged communities all over the world. Wouldn’t it be great to enable the least connected to share their visions about the needs in their communities?
Students for humanity consists not just of some students getting together on a website, but students who are passionate about making a difference in the world. With the project we want to inspire young and old to be a spark of light in their environment.
Have a look at the website and have fun reading the students’ stories! Please leave a comment! http://studentsforhumanity.com
